Factors Influencing Cut-Offs
Several factors affect the cut-off scores for CLAT:
- Exam Difficulty: A more difficult exam ends up with low cut-off marks being recorded by the students.
- Number of Applicants: Higher number of applicants may cause an increase of cut-off scores due to the competition experienced.
- Seat Availability: This means that the higher availability of seats might mean lower cut of scores.
- Category Reservations: According to categories ( General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS ), carrying out reservation, qualifying marks also depend on seats of reservation.
The final cut-offs are expected to be declared within a week from the exam date and the timeline for declaring the cut offs depends on minutes of the meeting which is also held shortly after the declaration of the results. The CLAT scores along with the rank of the candidates will be available on the official website of CLAT after the result announcement.
