Kartik Aaryan on Breaking Records with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and His Journey from Gwalior to Mumbai
Kartik Aaryan, now right at the top of Bollywood’s list for the most wanted actors of the generation has had an exemplary year. From setting Box office records with the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 to gearing up for Chandu Champion Kartik Aaryan has guaranteed his position in the list of today’s versatile and realistic actors. Speaking at SCREEN Live, he shared his ups and downs as well as the experience of surviving Bollywood at first instance.
A Record-Breaking Success: Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
The Bhool Bhulaiyaa movie franchise has been interlinked with Kartik in the second part of the series as soon as he entered it. After that, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was on the floor and the stakes were little higher and Kartik proved everyone by giving splendid performance which was appreciated by the critics as well as the audience and also a Blockbuster masterpiece.
When asked about the success kartik said: This has been crazy year for me. I liked shooting Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. It is one of my milestones in filmography.” That is why the movie became one of the hits of the year: his drama of a difficult professional who finds his voice achieved success everywhere.
From Gwalior to the Big Screen
The way Kartik travels from Gwalior to Mumbai must be termed as iconic. He was born in a small town and although he wished to become an actor in Bollywood, he had no contacts within the Bollywood firmament. He had a terrible fight every day and his earnest endeavour was evident.
“They hate me, they love me I am an outsider and the journey has not been easy,” Kartik said at the event. Namely, she said: “I often felt that maybe I wasn’t supposed to want so much or that maybe I just shouldn’t be a mother, but I moved on.” His big break was with Pyaar Ka Punchnama and his monologue was one of the most talked about scenes of the movie. From there, he slowly but surely worked his way up the corporate latter and demonstrated that in this world nothing can hold a truly talented and determined person back.
Balancing Stardom and Humility
Despite his meteoric rise, Kartik remains grounded. A recent highlight in his personal life was receiving his engineering degree from DY Patil College in Navi Mumbai. “Going as a guest to my college and receiving my degree in front of the students, it all came full circle,” he said. For Kartik, education was always a priority, and earning this degree was a proud moment not just for him but also for his family.
This humility and relatability are part of what endears Kartik to his fans. He attributes his grounded nature to his upbringing in Gwalior and the support of his family.
The Cost of Stardom
Kartik also talked about the minors of stardom, such as the daily expense on the entourage and the level of insecurity actors experience since people’s interest grows due to constant popularity. Say in connection with an attack on actor Saif Ali Khan he said, “It is unkind; it is a wake-up call that, well, actors are people, too”
It is always stressful to be on camera all the time, but Kartik does it very well. He agreed that the industry is now different and the use of social media has boosted fans and haters alike.
Looking Ahead: Chandu Champion and Beyond
As Kartik prepares himself for his next release called Chandu Champion, the excitement begins to build. This role is very different to some of his recent films; he has been typecast in romantic comedies, which is good to see him branch out. “While the first is a mature ghost-widow, the second is a daring Ghoomar dancer,” he said.
Kartik too appreciates the practicality of its ability to transform and evolve has been the defining characteristic of his career so far. This passion and his reluctance to stay pigeonholed have helped him to make a distinct mark within an industry that loves to keep its actors in cages.
