Vinfast At Auto Expo 2025: Showcasing 6 Electric Suvs And 1 Electric Pickup Truck Concept

VinFast introduced its electric vehicle portfolio to Indian consumers when it debuted at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The company revealed nine electric vehicle concepts including six electric SUVs and one electric pickup truck design to display their innovative sustainable approach. The company’s decisive step reflects its intent to provide sustainable mobility to increasing Indian customers.  

A Milestone for VinFast: Entering the Indian Market

The Bharat Mobility Global Expo welcomed VinFast as it unveiled its two India-focused all-electric SUV models VF 6 and VF 7, during the event. The vehicles come in right-hand drive format since the company built these models specifically for Indian buyers.

CEO Pham Sanh Chau saw our show at Bharat Mobility Show 2025 as very important because it was our first time presenting models made specially for India. We think the VF 6 and VF 7 will help India quickly move toward more electric vehicles.

The VF 6, a B-segment SUV, embodies the “Duality in Nature” design philosophy. This approach seamlessly blends contrasting elements, resulting in a vehicle that is both fun and sophisticated. With its human-centric technology and modern aesthetics, the VF 6 is poised to resonate with Indian buyers seeking compact and efficient EVs.

VF 7: Bold and Robust

On the other hand, the VF 7, a C-segment SUV, draws inspiration from the “Asymmetric Aerospace” design philosophy. It boasts a bold interior, innovative technology, and a robust exterior, making it ideal for those looking for a premium electric SUV experience.

Both models are expected to hit Indian showrooms in the second half of 2025, supported by a growing network of dealers across major cities.

VinFast didn’t stop with the VF 6 and VF 7. At the Expo, the company showcased an extensive portfolio of electric vehicles, including:

Expanding Footprint: Manufacturing and Investment

VinFast intends to establish local production in India while investing heavily in future growth. We started building our EV manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, during 2018. After startup, the plant will help supply India’s electric vehicle market needs and advance the nation’s environmental goals.

VinFast operates with a solid financial foundation provided by different funding sources. Reuters revealed in 2024 that Vingroup would give VINFAST VND85tn or $3.35bn by 2026. The financial support will drive the company’s worldwide growth while helping it develop better technology.  

A Vision for Sustainable Mobility

VinFast uses the Auto Expo 2025 event to demonstrate its products and show its long-term direction. The brand plans to change India’s electric vehicle market by implementing advanced tech plus eco-friendly design.

Ashwin Ashok Patil, VinFast India’s Marketing Sales Deputy CEO, emphasized the company’s commitment: Our VF 6 and VF 7 EV SUVs will establish new standards of quality for electric vehicles in India. We will build a nationwide dealership network of major town locations to serve interested customers.
