World Chess Championship 2024 – First Match Results: The World Chess Championship 2024 has started today with a thrilling first face off of D. Gukesh and Ding Liren. This championship was conducted on 25th November 2024 in Singapore where Gukesh emerged the youngest challenger in the history of this championship.
Match Overview
The first game saw Ding Liren come out as a clear winner against Gukesh. The game particularly featured a very tactical match up with Ding choosing the French Defence to put pressure on his counterpart. Gukesh who got an excellent start and was even pressing on the clock at one point. Though as the game went on more pressure built up on him and this he eventually lost the game.
